Ormond Community Kindergarten (OCK) is a sessional 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten service run by a volunteer parent committee with strong links to our local community. We are located in Ormond, in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne on the land of the Boon wurrung people of the Kulin Nations.
We are a well-resourced centre and our indoor and outdoor environments support all aspects of children’s learning and development. Our programs are based on the VEYLDF & EYLF and their guiding principles, practices and outcomes.
We welcome each child’s uniqueness and assist them to create their own through play-based learning. We encourage them to explore, take risks, use their imagination, laugh and we listen to them and encourage them to listen to others. We offer a variety of incursions including dance and drama and weekly playball sessions as well as our own pet program.
As a not for profit, we strive to form strong, meaningful, inclusive relationships with each other, the children, families and our wider community.
